Terastation Pro Rack Mount-web admin not working properly

We just got a Terastation Pro Rackmount(I guess is a Terastation II Pro?  Book say TS-RHTGL/R5...but just says TeraStation Pro on Appliance).  I updated the firmware to 1.33 and seemed to work and be able to configure it but was always hanging and I can only configure one or two things before I have to login again.  Now an hour latter I go into shared folders and hit add and it just goes to a grey screen then comes back to the screen I was one but now the add button is greyed out. I can access other config options between hangs but not this one.

 

Also I notice if I go \\appliancename\  sometimes it goes in right away to the shares and other times it take 40 seconds.  Once it is into the shares it is fast.  Note sure if this is related

 

The only problem I had that it didn't like is I put in a password with special characters and thereby locked myself out.  I did the reinitalization with the red button on front and reset the password with basic one and now that is happy.

 

Could I have corrupted it some how?  I can not push the firmware to it again as it says it already has newest firmware.

I still have to problem but I found some things that might help.  If reset the Terastation to "factory defaults" it work again....until I go in and set "active directory" network type.  Then it hangs lots and can't work add shares.  I am now getting an "aquistion failure" on my Domain Groups List.  It did go through and add "active directory" network type with no issues and I could see the AD groups earlier.

Hmmm...sometimes it can acess the AD info before it times out other times it can't so in 3 hours I made 3 shares...trying hundreds of times.  Shares I create can not be accessed by anyone due to this reason as well.

Any ideas?
