After attempting to find a peice of software to restore files from XFS file system on to a Windows machine, and failing, I think this is my last resort to post here, and hopefully one of you wonderful people can help

There was something on there on Saturday, and I updated the firmware Sunday morning.

Could someone point me in the right direction please?

You can try backing up the contents of that share through the disk backup utility in the interface and see if that moves files over. If it does just delete that share, create a new one and migrate the files back over.

Sadly, did not do the trick :(

Any other uggestions? I may have to format it and rip all my mp3's back to it by the looks

I get the impression that loading firmware on a linkstation is a kind of uncertain affair.  You might try loading the firmware AGAIN.  I believe this is what they call FORCING the firmware load, ie telling the loader to load the firmware even tho it is the same version.  Instructions for forcing are elsewhere in this forum.

Have you guys found a solution to this? I'm having the same problem I have a linkstation LS-CH. I went from firmware 1.2 to 1.7

and now I don't see my files or folders in any browser. But my storage still has the same amount of memory used. aand when I go to web admin, and go to place where it tells me to choose a folder, it gives me the options for the files that were on them.

I have used this as a backup drive L:\ on Windows 7. I have never accessed the Web Admin tools etc. I origianlly mapped the drive via Windows. I recently decided to utilise the print server utility to install a USB printer. Digging through the instruction manual that I downloaded, I tried to access the Web Admin utility using the default logon - which it would be fair to assume would work, as it has certainly never been accessed (let alone changed). PROBLEM!! It will not work. I cannot access Web Admin, so I can do nothing bar "see" the L:\ drive via my laptop. I have tried multiple times to the reset it to the default just in case - and that does not work either.

Can someone help me please. I need to be able to access the Web Admin to enable the print server functionality.

I am on firmware version 1.02.
