Dear Buffalo Tech Support,
I originally joined the forum in August of last year having recently purchased a WHR-G300N. Not soon after setting it up, it became apparent that the router suffers from drop offs, in my situation whenever i attempt to transfer large files over wifi. This was not limited to one wifi card or driver but any combination of hardware used in conjunction with the router. V1.64 firmware after much delay in release has done very little to solve the problem.
Can i now safely assume that this product is never going to work properly for me and consider moving on?
Is anyone at Buffalo aware of these problems and still actively trying to resolve it?
I don't really want to make reactive comments like 'i will never buy buffalo again' but to say this experience has left me somewhat cautions about buffalo products and support would be an understatement. You don't have to look too far to see examples of other companies handling faults with products once they are already out in the field (e.g. toyota and their recent accelerator/braking problem) and whats very clear about good customer service is honest, open and up front communication, a proactive approach not reactive. I cant say whats been happening behind closed doors at Buffalo but my experience of this situation makes me question if anything is being done at all.
However you want to look at it or justify it, bottom line, i purchased a product that did not work correctly from day one and have been given little assurance or hope for a solution.
If anyone from Buffalo can shed some further light on this i would of course appreciate it but my sentiments stand, this has been a truly disappointing customer service experience.
