How do you Share Links on Terastation without the expiring links (link expiring 1-30 days)? Else you cant share.

I would lke to embed a family video on a website and dont want no one seeing the username and password and not having to regenerate the link every 30 days.

Why don't you just upload your video to youtube and then use the embed feature to have it displayed on your website.

Defeats the purpose why I got a terastation in the firstplace. Personal data belongs in my personal server.

It's not just videos, this applies to jpg's I want to share or anything at all without getting broken links on the cyberworld all because links are expiring.

If you are sharing your data, i.e your video then it's not just "Personal data", you can have your video set as un-listed on youtube, that way it will only show up on your website and not anywhere on youtube. The purpose of the terastation is for storage and not as a cloud drive. As for the jpg's, well you could host them on your website, or you could use a photo sharing/storage service.

You say that it defeats the purpose of why you got the terastaion, well you could have done more research before you got the terastation. Sorry if that seems harsh.

Throughout their website - "Buffalo's LinkStation and TeraStation network attached storage and personal CLOUD storage offer best-in-class shared storage and backup solutions." Cloud, sharing and storage are mention the most on their products descriptions.

I know how youtube works. I don't want alternatives. And FYI its still personal data when you have control over who sees it (personal website), in my case friend and family.

So to anyone else who might have a solution besides alternatives help a brother out.

By "shared storage" it means on a local network and not by means of the internet.

You can give a website a username and password so that only your friends and family can view it.
