I recently purchased a Buffalo TurboUSB ministation "HD-PF160U2". If I'm not mistaken simply plugging in this devise loads all the needed drivers and then it should show up in My Computer. Well in short it's not. I'm running XP Pro. When I go to Device Manager it says that the device is working properly but obviously it is not. I tried calling tech support at Buffalo waited for an hour to speak to a techy but no one ever picket up my call. I've tried a couple other times but I will not wait more that 5 mins ever again.

Could someone give me a little help here. I've ordered a replacement but fear that I may have the same problem. Sounds like I should have gone with different company and paid a little more.

Thanks,

Scott

See if the drive shows up in disk management. WindowsKey+R to bring up Run, then type in diskmgmt.msc. The disk may just need to be formatted.
