Following the documentation on creating Webaccess ..

After an extremely painful amount of time I get to the option to create a BuffaloNas.com name.  I click ENABLE and it jumps to DISABLE.  I click ENABLE again and the text line opens up.

I enter the name I want to use and click SAVE.  Then after 35 seconds I get error message back

"Error accessing BuffaloNas.com.  Check internet settings".

Well there is nothing wrong with my internet settings and to prove this point i open a new window, enter buffalonas.com in the address bar and POW .. .there it is.

So why is the NAS sw having troubles reaching out?

Thoughts?

It means your Internet settings on the nas are not correct, not the router or your pc. What gateway and dns have you set on the nas?

Oh man what a dolt :)  Thanks for that.  I am trying to connect to it now to check the settings, though that doesn't always work.

Thanks again Davo
