TS-HTGL/R5 No Link after blown Fuse

I recently purchased a used TS-HTGL/R5 that had no HDD, fan or LAN activity.  The unit booted looking for the kernel over and over until it settled on an E04 error with a solid Link/ACT light. 

 

I found that fuse4 on the motherboard had blown and replaced it, now the unit's fan works and it boots with the 4 2tb drives from another TS, and 4 1tb drives from yet another TS seemingly with no problem, but there is no LAN acitivity. 

 

The display says NO LINK and the light is off. 

 

The TS displays no errors or error light. 

 

Under the unit's name it displays a line of hyphens the width of the display.

 

The TS boots to EM mode properly but with no link.  It also boots to TFTP mode without link.

 

All of the TS's are set to use 192.168.11.150 connected directly to my PC, and the 2 known good ones work fine. 

 

Since the problem unit gets it's IP settings from the drives, I assume there's no software/setup problem.  

 

I'm assuming here that the F/W for a TS-H2.0TGL/R5 is the same as the TS-H6.0TGL/R5 as they all seem to be lumped together here on this forum.

 

There is no IP conflict as the machines are only connected one at a time.

 

 

What I'd like to know is if there is a way to properly reset the motherboard, similarly to how you reset a PC's BIOS to see if it can find the LAN hardware.  I believe this is necessary because the first drive I put in the machine was from a WD MyBook 1tb NAS which the TS attempted to boot from.  I didn't know the drive's contents at the time.

 

OR: for anyone from Buffalo, is there another fuse somewhere on the mobo other than fuses 1 through 4 by the power connector that I may have missed?  I doubt there are many owners who've delved this far into their hardware to know.
