Not able to access Link Station through Buffalonas.com

I have just set up my LS-WXL672 LinkStation.  Initially both via the app on myiPad, and through the internet I was able to access the folders, now I just get "Internet Explorer can not display web page on the PC and Error could not connect to the server on the iPad.  Can anyone help please!

have sent I can access on the local but not through internet away from local network

You need to open port 47442 for TCP in your router to the Linkstations local IP address (as it appears in the nas navigator)

Sorry but how do I do that.  I am looking at the router and the closest I get is Port Forwarding where I have to identify the app and then the device

I have opened the port and still it does not work.  The difference now is that the iPad times out, and the PC says it can't find the IP address!
