Hi,

I have just connected my brand new 1TB HD-CE1 0TU2-EU.  Everything seemed to be great  - the Drive appears as G: The PC (XPSP3) is quite happy to read and write to the FAT32 partition.  However, when I try to use the built in utility to reformat the drive as NTSF.  I get an error message "There are Not new Drive to be able to format" (sic).  OK'ing that message gives a "Complete NTFS Format" a few seconds later.  The Drive is still FAT32.

Any suggestions?

abhaslaj,

Try these steps using the Windows formatting utility:

1. Double-click "My Computer"

2. Right-click on the drive G: and choose the format option

3. Proceed with the format process.

The utility that comes with the DriveStation could be having an issue with XP SP3 (still being worked on).  Hope this helps.
