Hi,

I have a Ministation HD-PZ1 and I had set the files to be encrypted by the HDD-PZ1.0U3 hardware encryption.

After 2 weeks of purchased, the HDD started to keep disconnecting by its own and after a visit to the authorised service centre, they found that the PCB board for the hardware encryption is faulty and they had to replace a new PCB. However, all my encrypted files will be gone as the encryption board is different.

The PCB board has been changed but my original disk still remains. I had to do a quick format in order for the HDD to get connected to my PC.

Is there anyway that I can recover my files and un-encrypt the recovered files? I has used quite a few number of files recovery software but the recovered files are all strange file types to me.
