Documents for Linkstation LS-CH 1.0TL-AP, setup and Mac connection ?

Hi, 

 

I have an old Linkstation, LS-CH 1.0TL-AP, have not used for a long while, now trying to use it as a NAS and connected to my Mac. I tried to search Buffalo site, could not find any documents. Can any one help? The unit is an old model.

what firmware version are you using and what MAC OS?

Not sure what is my firmware version, wonder how I can find out? MAC OS is 10.8

read my last post on how to get the firmware! It will tell you in the nas navigator.

I have run the Nasnavigator, found my firmware is 1.10,  Nasnavigator shows HDD is 30% used, butwhen I  tried to refresh or open it, got error message, saying that

 IP address had some problem, when the system tried to fix the IP address, failed. 

 

Any sugestions ?

what is the IP address of both the Linkstation and MAC? Is it connected into the MAC directly or via the router?
