HD-LBU3 2TB External hard drive not being detected by the system

HD-LBU3 2TB External hard drive not showing up even in bios. Its power LED has turned amber(orange or red) in colour it does not blink or anything it just remains amber.

I would appreciate any help as the drive has valuable data.

Have you tried a different power led and USB cable and PC?

Ya I tried a different usb cable, PC and adapter. When it used to work the light used to be blue in colour. But now it just shows amber.

In the user's manual, amber light is not mentioned anywhere.

If it doesnt appear in disk management or the BIOS and you are saying you have tried different power cables and USB leads then the housing is faulty.

Can I take it out from the housing and use it?

If there is nothing wrong with the HDD itself then yes, however bare in mind it will void your warranty.

Can you please explain to me how to do it?

And if I do it how do I connect it to the system(both the bus and the power)?

As you said the housing was faulty and its working fine after i connected it directly.
