Best backup for linkstation live (mirror).

Hi, my linkstation live 2tb is about half full, and i'm considering a backup solution for the drive. My plan is to by a second linkstation live 2tb and somehow make that a mirror of the original drive.

 

Is this possible at all and what would be the best way to acheive my desired results without the drive going insane and backing up at all times?

Is there a way to schedule a backup? 

 

The drive is pretty much in use all of the day for numerous timemachine backups or just watching movies and such..
