I have recently lost all data on my LS due to the problem with the last ver. 3.08 updater. The one that everyone was having problems with. Anyway, I am having a 3rd party recover/wipe the drive(s) and would like to know if Buffalo has the original firmware/image (not the update, but the original fw/sw that came with my purchase) so that I can re-install. I purchased the unit in Oct. 08, so the thing is still under warranty.

I would RMA the unit, but I do not want to ship the unit ($$$) and the time delay on return.

In other words, I want to wipe the Samsung HDD's clean after my data recovery and get the unit back to original operation. How/where do I get the FW/SW and install?

Follow the TFTP Boot Recovery procedure first to get the device booted off TFTP, then force the firmware update with all four Config options checked in the Debug window. "Rebuild Partition Table" will erase the drives and put the firmware back on them.
