Web Access Not Working (Firmware 1.63)

I'm having trouble access web access when I am not on my home network.  While on my home network web access works correctly.  I'm guessing this is a port forwarding issue, but everything appears to be setup correctly.  When I try and access my NAS at BuffaloNAS.com it correctly shows the right IP address of my home network and my port that is open but it does not connect ("Can't find XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:9000").  I'm hesitant to post my home IP on here so I'm using XXX.

 

Here is my NAS setup:

Model: LS-V3.0TL

Firmware: 1.63

Webaccess Service: Enabled

HTTPS: Disabled

Use BuffaloNAS.com: Enabled

Auto Configure: Disabled

External Port: 9000

Internal: 9000

Exclusive Session: Disabled

Session Expire: 5

 

I have one folder setup for web access and I am able to access this on my local network.

 

My FIOS router is setup to port forward port 9000 like this:

TCP Any > 9000

UDP Any > 9000 

Both of these are pointing to my home network IP for the NAS (192.168.X.X)

 

There must be something simple that I am missing here.  Any ideas?

 

One last piece of information that I just found out, I am able to access my NAS drive using the Andrioid App Web Access A.  This is really odd!

I'm not sure why it was not working earlier, but now I have remote access from outside of my home network.

 

I suggest that everyone use the configuration above if you are having trouble.  It seems like it should be a much easier process but I'm glad this work.  Now to see if I can get the torrents to download at a reasonable rate.
