Connection lost to Buffalo Linkstation Live 1TB

I've had my Buffalo Linkstation Live 1TB since May.

 

I woke up this morning to find I can't connect to it. I've tried

 

different network cables to the router

rebooting the router

connecting from my phone

connecting via FTP and local IP address.

connecting from my HTPC and laptop.

 

The blue light is solid on the front and the green light on the network port is on.

 

What can I do try and restore connection?

The Buffalo Linkstation Live 1TB doesn't show up in my router as an attached device.

what does the nas navigator software report?

I'm busy downloading Navigator now. My brother used his latop and navigator to connect to it and says it's in EM mode and needs a firmware update or to contact support.

OK so, just download the latest firmware for your unit and reinstall it.

I had to go find my original cd and install the Navigator - this confirmed EM mode.

 

I then downloaded the firmware updater and installed 1.63.

 

Seems to have done the trick.
