Linkstation LS-XL web access stops working

Hello,

I am new to Buffalo NAS and to this forum, so pardon me if I am asking stupid things...

I recently bought a Linkstation LS-XL and have to say that I am quite frustrated after a few hours of congig and testing.

Compared to my LevelOne GNS4000 the XL is very slow (WebAccess) and unreliable..

Beside the fact that WebAccess is terribly slow, e.g. accessing pictures, WebAccess simply stops working quite frequently, so a webaccess via http://192.168.xxx.xxx:9000/ui/#/" target="_blank">http://192.168.xxx.xxx:9000/ui/#/ doesn't  work. It starts to transfer data, then the "wheel turns forever".
As soon as WebAccess from PC is not working, access via iPAD is not possible either.

However the Web admin interface is still working.

The only solution I found so far is to restart the link station. After a restart WebAccess works right away, for some time.

My config is quite easy:

LS-XL Firmware 1.62

Win 7 PC, home premium 32bit

Sppedport W921V Router

all connected via LevelOne Gigabit Switch.

iPAD 2nd Gen IOS6 connected through WiFi

Port forwarding manually set up in Router, auto UdP disabled

BuffaloNas Name configured

Still in trial mode with anonymous access allowed (what I wanted to change as soon as it is working reliable).

Fix IP adress assigned to LS-XL (no DHP)

no https

None of the other devices connected to the LAN does show any problem. Servers, XP PCs, NAS, Apple TV, Printer, all working perfectly well.

I still hope to get this solved somehow, but  I have to mention my patience is limited, after I have invested several hours already. Time IS money. Worst case I return it to the dealer and go for another product.

Any help aprecciated

Thanks

J.

Hi

I am having the exact same issue.

did you find a resolution?

Thanks

jackko

Unfortunately I don't have a solution yet.

It is sitting there - consuming electricity...

meanwhile I upgraded my old GNS 4000 LevelOne NAS, using 4x2TB disks. Very happy with this so far.

Still hope  to find a solution for my Buffalo.

I Have to be honest,

I just dont think the buffalo web access is upto the standard it should be.

Mine crashes also after a few minutes, hangs when i browse the nas via my android phone and try to view it on my pc as soon as i stop the video im playingon my android the web acess opens instantaneously on the browser on my pc.

I am currently in talk with buffalo via email and have just tried reflashing my device as requested but so far it is the same. :S
