Howdy,

i have an defective linkstation hs-dhgl , when on power the unit beeps and the harddisk does not spin up,

i have removed the disk from the unit to see if the disk was damaged or unreadable , the disk spins up and the partition table is viewable by windows (computer management ) since i am unable to repair the systemboard of the hs-dhgl , i have purchased a new cloudstation , now heres my question .. how can i copy the old diskcontents from the hs-dhgl to the new cloud station without the risk of losing data ? ( what Operating System do i need to mount the 400GB partition to copy over the data ? )

Ok, Buffalo Nas drives are Formatted in XFS so the easiest way of retrieving your data is to USE UFS EXPLORER, check out their site, caddy you can try to direct copy it to the Cloud station how ever if it is Cs-x you can not use direct copy
