Buffalo Terastation Pro and Backup Exec11d Issue

I have a windows 2003 small business server and a Buffalo Terastation for extra storage. I want to use my REV drive in backup exec for daily offsite backups of the Terastation. I setup the user defined shares but it still gives me error messages and fails the backup. These are the messages I recieve.

 

Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000846b - The resource could not be backed up because an error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec for Windows Servers Remote Agent. Make sure that the correct version of the Remote Agent is installed and running on the target computer. Final error category: Resource Errors 

 

V-79-57244-3844 - The media server was unable to connect to the Remote Agent on the machine cc-fileserv. The media server will use the local agent to try to complete the operation. Unable to initialize Remote Agent.

 

I am unsure of what to do at this point as I need everyday backups off the Terastation. Please help!!

   Can anyone help me with this?

   That error mentions it's unable to communicate with a remote agent. If your backups require remote agents installation, that is not possible to do on the terastation. You can't really "install" anything on a terastation.

   How are you to back up your terastation? This is probably the most common backup software on the market!! How can there be NO way to backup a terastation using backupexec?
