LS-QVL: Replaced dead HDD with a HDD from another LS-QVL- Help

I think I might have made a massive stuff up here.

I have two LS-QVL units with 4 drives in each.  Unit1 is configured with RAID5 (4x 2TB drives).  Unit2 is configured with 2 arrays in RAID1, Array1=disk1&2, Array2=disk3&4 (All 2TB drives).

Unit1 reported a failed disk (disk 4) and it needed to be replaced.  As Unit2 has been offline for a while (I don't use it very often), I decided I would take a drive from this unit to replace the dead drive in Unit1.  Array2 of Unit2 (drive 3&4) was empty, I only had some data on Array1 of Unit2, so I deleted Array2, shutdown Unit2, and pulled out and placed it into Unti1 which seemed to start rebuilding the array automatically as I got email alerts that it was doing so.

When I powered on Unit 2, I get a blinking power LED (1 long blink followed by 6 short blinks - not sure what that means).  On the web console of Unit2.  It tells me that there is an error on Array1 and NAVI says disk4 is missing (I took it out an put it in Unit1) and error mounting disk 1, 2 and 3.

I think I needed to click on the "Remove Disk" button for disk 4 on Unit2 before taking the drive out??

How do I fix this or do I have to delete Array1 and start again?
