I've a Buffalo LS-WXL DUO and I've installed firmware version 1.62 DTCP-IP 1.60-20120615 but I've this problem:

Some JPEG are shown with wrong resolution over DLNA (resolution of 160*120 instead of the original) using a BlueRay player LG BD390 (firmware BD.8.08.557.B) and/or a WD WINTV LIVE HD ( firmware 1.06.15_V or the recently 1.06.34_V). The same JPEG ́s via USB driectly on In the same device works fine. BUT the TV SONY model KDL-46Z4500 shows all JPEG correctly.

I Checked that this issue is happening on the JPEG photos of no particular resolution.

I think that BUFFALO DLNA Server has assigned a wrong profile both to WD and LG multimedia players (perhaps into a file named clients.db in some hidden directory of BUFFALO DLNA SERVER i.e. Twonky server ??)

How can I change the media receiver type ??

Are the jpegs over 4MB in size by any chance? FYI: Streaming and connecting via USB are not the same! As far as Im aware it cannot handle the resolution of higher quality images so it defaults the image to a thumbnail.

To answer your question, you cannot change the media server type.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Hi

I have exactly the same problem displaying full size photos off my Buffalo Linkstation Duo NAS server on my WD Live TV, HDMI connected to a Sony Bravia TV

HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR WORK AROUND IT?

I have Updated Linkstation LS-WXLB9E to firmware 1.64

Updated Linkstation DNLA Server to latest

WD TV Live. Firmwareis latest 1.12.14

     Video ok

     Music ok

Photos come up on the WD TV Live as thumbnails. NOT their full size

I have other DNLA clients that all display photos off the server correctly...........

IPad displays photos correctly

IPhone ok

Nokia E 72 OK

Any help would be appreciated.

I have solved my problem and all is working perfectly Without having to root or edit client.db.

went to Advanced Settings.   .......

Media Receivers

forced the device selected for my WD Live TV  ( identified by its MAC and IP Adress) in the table to WD LIVE TV from the drop down list.

Saved the new table

Restarted NAS

All working I.e.  all pictures shown at their full  resolution.
