Please can someone help me.

I recently bought a "Linkstation Live" LS-XL256. It seems to have lots of features, but it's missing one essential one: the ability to power-down the hard drive when not in use. I've disabled ALL of the services, and yet every few seconds there is an identical click-clicketyclick of drive activity. It's driving me INSANE.

As far as I'm concerned, the drive should only spin up when it is needed. Why isn't it doing this?
