Terastation Pro V1: SLOW network transfers

I'm running a gigabit network here. When copying from/to Terastation Pro V1 the Windows Task Manager shows dreadful speeds: I barely get 4%. With another tool this reads to about 500Kbs or so... yeah...

When I shoot something from my Mac to my PC at the same time, I see the indicator shooting up to 25-30% instantly, so my gigabit NW is running smoothly. Also Tera shows 1000mbs in Network settings. And yes... I have all the correct cables.

Running 1.00 firmware. Does upgrading to 1.04 help anything?

Other  ways to improve?

Since the device runs software RAID, and the processor is a slower PowerPC CPU, speeds of up to 7 MB/s should be expected, which would correspond to around 5% network utilization, so that seems to be right.

Updating the firmware may improve performance slightly.

Well upping the jumbo frames to 4k did improve some (no improvement on higher jumbo frames),

Other than that... it remains dreadfully slow. Doesn't exceed 10Mbit.

So much for gigabit.... Red card!
