Hello. My NASNAVIGATOR2 does not see my Linkstation DUO. I have two WINDOWS 7 PC's, both running AVAST. One is 64 biot the other 32 bit. Neither NASNAV can see the unit.   I can access the drive no problem. My NETWORK MAGIC shows me the IP address. But without NASNAVIGATOR2, I don't know how much space is left on the drive. Any ideas?

If you can access the unit nornally but the Nas navigator cannot detect it then there is some sort of anti virus and/or firewall either on the PC/s or network blocking the communication from the software.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Thanks. I'll try turning off the AV and FW temporarily, but I always had the same AV on at least one of the PCs. Meanwhile, I entered the IP address into my browser and got the login. But it doesn't like either my admin or user passwords. And I confirm I am using the correct admin password.

I have the exact same problem.

Did you find a solution?

Brand new Linkstation duo, just a few months.

Can be accessed via the network, but NASNAvigator doesnt't show it, and my passwords are refused so I cannot access web config, even though SMB accepts the exact same username/pw!

I want to activate iTunes server, but I can't get in. I am 100% sure I did not change the default admin username/pwd.

might help it we knew what unit you have!
Also, if you can access it via smb then your anti virus and/or firewall software is blocking it or you have Nas Navi detection disabled on the device (this depends on the unit you have)

Thanks for the reply. To answer your questions:

It is a Linkstation Duo 4TB (2x2TB disks), type LS-WXL. Purchased january 2014 so not even two months ago.

Firewall is not the issue since it is switched off on my windows PC.

Antivirus is not the issue because I can't acces either from my PC or my MacBook, and the latter doesn't even have antivirus. Also, I do actually see the login screen in the webbrowser, I can enter username/pwd, but everything I enter is refused, even the un/pwd that is accepted by smb.

I did not intentionally disable NAS Navi detection, I am certain of that.

So, something has gone wrong. The question is, what?

Well, that does not work. The lsrecovery.exe doesn't see the Linkstation either.

But after trying lsrecovery I had an idea - I tried to login as 'guest' - that worked.

Unfortunately as a guest you can't see or change any setting.

If I reset to factory defaults with the hardware function button on the back of the device - will that erase my data?
