Hi

I am planning to buy a CloudStor (and of course to access files from anywhere). But I have few questions if someone can kindly help:

1- if I am at home, using my iPad, does the streaming goes from the NAS box through the web to my iPad or directly from the NAS to the iPad using only my local WiFi?

2- does it come with a backup software for PCs (Windows 7 32 and 64-bit)?

3- can my AppleTV access the media file stored on the NAS box?

Thanks

For apple TV:

do a jalibreak on your apple TV (if it is a apple TV 2), install XBMC mediacenter (try google for additional info).  After this you can access / stream all of your cloudstor media files through SMB network share. Cloudstor built in mediaserver is really shi... and crashes many DLNA clients!  Sorry thats my real world experience!! SMB network share access is working good.  If you really need UPNP / DLNA streaming, use google to find info how to gain root access on your cloudstor and install a Twonky media server on it. It is working very well with nearly all DLNA / UPNP clients.
