LinkStation LS-WSXL Error?

Hi,

My LinkStation LS-WSXL one day last week shut down on its own.  I turned it on, the blue light flashes for a few seconds while the hard drives spin up.  After 15-20 seconds, the drives turn off and the red led turns on for a second and the unit is off again.  A few seconds later the unit attempts to restart and does the same thing again, etc.  I looked in the manual, but did not see anything close to resembling this error.  I tried to do a factory reset on the unit, but it does the same thing.  I was having it email me daily updates, and the last message did not indicate any errors at that time.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Tom

As usual replies from Buffalo are rare about LS-WSXL.
The Buffalo manual is useless and impossible to understand for standard human being.
The only page that could help would be this one as there are tiny animated images of LED blinking:

I think the unit is not able to fully boot.  Read the manual, try to restore factory defaults.  If not  succesful, try to force EM mode and reinstall firmware.
