I have a TeraStation PRO RAID and all 4 drives had to be replaced.
Replaced the drives with the same model/size as what had before.

Now, it just sits at booting ROM. Does anyone know what are the steps to get the system back up and running?
I don't care about the data, its from the previous IT Team.

Thanks....

The previous drives have the OS installed. When you swap the drives you didn't do the correct process. Do you still have the old drives and if so are you at least able to get to the UI in the TeraStation with the old drives in?
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I do not have the old HDs. They were bad.

Im trying to get it setup with new HDs. How can I do that?

I tried booting up the system. It says, Sever IP 192.168.11.1 and Machine IP 192.168.11.150
I connect my laptop directly to it, maybe I could upload a firmware or something to make it work. I made my laptop 192.168.11.155.

I still cannot get to the Unit. Any clues on how to get this done? Anyone, please?

Thanks...

You need to follow the TFTP process to boot it into EM mode then install the firmware:

I did. The problem is that I downloaded the firmware from the website.
When I try to go and download the boot recovery file, it does not have one for my model. I tried to download other models boot recovery from the list, but it will not work.

Anyone have a clue as to which boot recovery file im supposd to download for the TS-Ri2.0TGL/R5?

I tried:
TFTP Boot Recovery TS-RHTGL-R5 1.30
TFTP Boot Recovery TS-XL 1.00
TFTP Boot Recovery-LS_EZ-1.03
TFTP Boot Recovery-LS_Pro-1.11
TFTP Boot Recovery-TS_ProII-1.20

The only one that seems to allow me to find my station is the TFTP Boot Recovery-TS_ProII-1.20, but:
If I boot with that one, the only firmware that works is the TS-HTGL_1.35_1.39, and that's not the right firmware. I did the firmware, and then when I rebooted the terastation, it says it cannot load the kernel.

Any help PLEASE. Ive spent over 3 days trying to figure out this thing.

Thanks...

Your unit is a TeraStation Pro II rackmount but a iscsi model. Only difference between iscsi and non-iscsi models is the firmware. The hardware is the same. You are using the wrong firmware as that is for a desk unit not a rackmount and i would also use the TFTP image for the rackmount so download the one with the name TFTP Boot Recovery TS-RHTGL-R5 1.30. The TFTP Boot Recovery-TS_ProII-1.20 might work as this is your model but i dont know if this is for rackmount or desk unit, since you got it in EM mode i would try it again with the firmware below. The firmware is below for both ISCSI version and non-ISCSI version. If you get the Non-ISCSI version then i would update to the latest firmware after you get it to work properly.

Non-ISCSI Version

ISCSI Version

Thank you very much for your help and assistance.

Unfortunately, when I tried what you told me, it will not find the station when I try to do the tsupdate
I downloaded the RHTGL 1.30 as you stated.
It sees the Unit. Its all good.
Then I try to use the RHTGL133_22. Nothing happens, the tsupdate executes and nothing happens.

Then I try to use the RIGL101-113. It scans the system, and says that it does not find any TS system that needs updating.

My unit is a rackmount unit, ISCSI ver. Anything else I could do? Please, any other ideas im open to try pretty much anything at this point. This unit has been kicking my behind for last 6 days trying all kinds of ways. I just don't think I have the right files to do the update.

Thanks...
