Amen Brother!

My work around:

  1. I have an old Mac Pro (I bought from my old employer) which I put in my basement
  2. Removed the 4 LS-QL drives out of the buffalo
  3. Inserted those drives into the Mac Pro (3 of them anyway),
  4. and now I backup to the Mac Pro from remote machines running time machine.  All Apple solution, works beautifully.

(Note: you can buy a used mac mini and hang a 3tb external drive off it and to the same thing for less than a Buffalo).

Anyway, I agree you, but I'm not even going to bother seeing if Buffalo learns to "steup up and support their products". I'm done with them.

I could adapt LS-QL for use with Time machine function on Mac OS version 10.7(Lion) or later.
