Wake on lan (wol)

Hi,

Is it possible to get the Terastation to wake-on-lan (WOL)?

I have the following terastation:

HS-DH2.0TGL/R5 firmware version 2.14

 

It would also be great to have stand-alone code to shutdown the Terastation as well without having to use the browser. 

 

If these features do not exist, what are the chances of getting them added to a new firmware release?

They shouldn't be hard to implement.

We've only had one request for this - not enough to sway the engineers in Japan. Please use the new Idea Exchange Lounge to present ideas (one per post). Once presented, registered forum members can vote on the idea, by adding their kudo to it.

The most favored ideas will rise to the top, and these will have more pull with the engineers in Japan.

I'll second that motion - we just purchased a Buffalo Terastation TS-RHTGL/R5 for our network and need a wake-on lan function to boot the box after a power failure. Also, an easy way to gain shell access to the box so we can issue shutdown commands in that event as well.

Pass it up to corporate!
