LinkStation Duo 2TB (LS-WXL) - Flashing Orange LED

Hi,

 

I've just purchased a LS-WXL and set the drives up as a RAID 1 array. The info/error LED is flashing orange. It seems to be 2 long and 5 fast.

 

Also, the transfer rate reported from windows seems to be around 5MB/S is this normal?

Hello!

 

You should install and run the NAS Navigator because it gives you uncoded information about the status of the device!

 

You said that you created a RAID1-Array and well that takes a while and the Info LED is blinking until the build is finished!

 

Quote from the manual:

 

"While the array is being built, file transfer speeds will be slower than usual.  It will take about 6
hours per terabyte to build the array.  The Info/Error LED will blink amber while the array is being
built.  Do not turn off the LinkStation until the array is finished.  

 

When the build finishes, the Info/Error LED will stop blinking.  Your RAID 1 array is now complete and
ready to use."

Has the units speed picked up after it completed to the RAID rebuild?
