Can I put a bigger hard drive in my HS-DH500GL?

No way to reach the XFS partition, it seems that the USB port can see only the first partition of the USB HDD. In this case it is the first one that contains the firmware.  I put this information in case someone is interested .

I got it to work this weekend:

1. Place the new harddrive (Samsung HD154UI SpinPoint 1.5TB) in my LinkStation HS DH320GL

2. Connect the station to my computer, where the computer LAN is configured with IP 192.168.11.1

3. Run the tftp service

4. Start the linstation. It will now boot using the tftp service

5. Run the Firmware updater, version 2.11

6. Be patient.... and all done.

Interesting... did you do anything to the drive before you installed it into your NAS enclosure?  i.e was it a clean drive, or did you re-create the partitions as suggested above?

(I'm hoping to replace my  HDD)

Thanks

The only issues that ive seen is with WD Caviar Green Drives.
