looks like we'll have the long wait till june and the new firmware fingers crossed will sort it out

Hi,

I also have the same issue. I have a Samsung UE55C7000 and there is no fast forward or rewind capabilities. I'm from the UK and have the firmware v1.56 on my linkstation duo.

Any word on this update for twonky?

I have a Samsung UE40C6800 and just bought the LS-X2.0TL (Firmware 1.57).

m4v streams fine, other video formats (mp4 among them) not AT ALL. I can see all the files but not play them. Streaming went well entirely when using a Fritz!Box Media Server. Very annoying!

FW update for most linkstations is still planned for June timeframe. We will probably skip FW1.59 and go directly the 1.60, which will have the Twonky update.

migzy

fingers crossed nearer the beginning of june rather than the end only been waiting 8 months

WilliamS

Is there an update for cloudstation too? I have the same problem with it

The Cloudstor will never work with your Samsung TV. This unit does not have DLNA support and can only stream files to a PS3 and an Xbox 360.

WilliamS

I have a Samsung d8000 series. I cant see video and pictures. I find them but they dont open

Jotin

William S, that is correct, they will not open. Your Cloudstor will not stream movies and music to your Samsung TV.

WilliamS

so the problem is given by the tv? what can i do to avoid this problem?

Jotin

WilliamS.... The Cloudstor does not support streaming to your TV. You cannot open any files. The Cloudstor can only stream content to a PS3 or an Xbox 360. It will not work with your TV at all because this unit does not have DLNA support.

WilliamS talked about "Cloudstation" product, not Cloudstor  (although they are equal, but just different names).  Cloudstation IS (!) DLNA certifiied!!

The June update will not help for cloudstation, since cloudstation does not have an installed twonky server. It uses a different streaming media server, which according to manual and product package is DLNA certified too.

One possible solution would be to root your cloudstation using acp_commander tool and manually install an addtional twonky server.
