Linkstation Duo can't see Dlink Mediaplayer

I can stream files from the Duo to the Dlink mediaplayer via Dlink's mediaserver

software on my PC if I map the Duo's directories as network drives.  My goal is to

not need the PC on by using the Mediaserver function of the Duo.  Under the

mediaserver tab in NasNavigator the Dlink does not appear under the "DLNA

compatible" field.  According to Dlink, the DSM-520 is DLNA compatible.

Any ideas?  router settings?

I would start by flashing the firmware on both units and then setting them back to factory settings (on the buffalo unit you will not lose data, only user configuration) (not sure on the other brand).
