Between October 2020 and October 2021, a small number of HD-LX2.0 Drivestations were shipped in the United States with 5400 RPM drives, as opposed to the intended 7200 RPM drives. In order to remedy this issue, we ask all owners of 2 Terabyte Drivestation Axis Velocity drives to contact support and let us check their serial number against a list. If your drive is affected by this issue, we will set up an RMA to get you the proper drive at no cost to you.

Please go to Buffalo Americas (buffalotech.com) and enter your serial number to submit a ticket. You can find the serial number on the bottom of your HD-LX on a long sticker underneath the electrical safety sticker, and it will have the part number (in this case HD-LX2.0TU3), it is a 14 digit number and will start with ‘444006’.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
**A single copy of data, even on a RAID array, is NOT a backup! Hard drive failure is not a question of IF, but WHEN! Don't take my word for it, take Google's!**
