Hi. I'm trying to add wireless to a part of my home that my current router won't reach. I have a Motorola SURFboard SBG6580 gateway as my cable connection to my isp. I just purchased a Buffalo WZR-1750DHP that I'm trying to connect via ethernet cable to the Motorola gateway. I was hoping to get some guidance on how to set this up. I had it working for a day, but I believe it was by pure luck. The Motorola had to be reset and I have been unable to get the Buffalo to reconnect to it.

The firmware on the AC 1750 is Version 2.10(R1.04/B6.30.163-1.00-1.00)

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I'm a bit unclear on the exact setup you currently have and how you're trying to set this up. I would suggest taking a look at the setup instructions in the manual here: http://manual.buffalo.jp/buf-doc/35013154-04_EN.pdf

Take a look at the section on "Adding the AirStation to a Wireless Network".
