Good day everyone! i purchased a Buffalo Ministation Lite 320G HD-PEU2, and like any other portable external hard drive, its preformatted to FAT32 right?

I would like to format the Drive to an NTFS File System. May i ask, should i do a "Quick Format" or "Full Format"? I understand that formatting it in full would likely take a bit longer. What is your recommendation? Quick or Full.

Thank you in advance.

I would suggest the quick format.  When you do a full format it full writes 0s to all the sectors which makes sure all the data is gone.  since its a new unit there's no need.

Oh by the way just another question, should i just go to my computer, right click on the external drive labeled as HD-PEU2 and click format or is it better to do it on Disk management? Thanks again.
