WZR-600DHP can't connect to internet
« on: February 10, 2013, 05:07:00 PM »

I just received my WZR-600DHP router and am trying to connect it to my ISP (Cox Cable) via DHCP. The firmware that came with the router would not connect so I decided to try the upgraded firmware and it also is not connecting. The firmware is DD-WRT v24SP2-MULTI (11/04/12) - build 20180.

I tried the wzr600dhp-191 firmware but it has the same problem as well.

The problem is not with the cable modem as it works fine with my old linksys wrt54gs2.

Anyone know how to get this thing working? I'm willing to load beta firmware if necessary. Thanks!

Update: Had to clone the WAN MAC address from my old router to make it work.

Thank you for the update at the end of your post.  That solved my issue as well  To aid the next guy, I physically copied the MAC address from the back of the router I previously had plugged into the modem and entered that MAC into the first area of the DD-WRT Setup/MAC Address Clone pane and clicked Apply Settings.  2 minutes later I have internet access.
