WZR-AG300H disabling NAT
« on: April 07, 2013, 03:40:38 PM »

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out a way to disable NAT on my router. I have it currently in router mode and do not want it doing PAT on the way out. In the manual is shows a way to do it with the user friendly firmware installed but I have the professional isntalled I believe because the screen in the manual does not look like my screen at all. The screen currently looks like any other DD-WRT screen. I know DD-WRT writes firmware for buffalo routers sometimes but I would like to know if I can disable address translation without switching over to the user friendly firmware. Thanks.

afaik this should be able to be accomplished by turning off the firewall and DHCP server, then in Setup > networking, switch off gateway mode to router. also there may be an additional 'routing' setting under administration, not sure if you need to turn that off as well, but for sure something you can try.
