Software Installation does not see Linkstation on network

I recently purchased a Linkstation Mini 500GB, and am using it with a Linksys WRT54G router and Windows XP Home.  When I try to use the setup software, the setup program does not find the Linkstation on the network.

If I manually find the IP address in the router table, I can use this to manually map the drive.

However, with the power switch in AUTO, once the Linkstation powers down, it will not "wake up" when I click on the drive icon.

Someone suggested that this might have to do with some internet provider setup (I have DSL from sbcglobal).  What am I missing?

Thanks,

Mike

You should be able to switch it over to Manual on the back of the unit.  Along with that there is a vista patch under "Linkstation" you can try to run that and reinstall the nas navi for it.
