Linkstation Quad Issues, Help please

My linkstation Quad has been find for about 18 months until earlier today when I couldn't access any of the shares or the admin page. The power button had no effect and I had no option but to pull the plug. I started it up and it came to life and I could access the shares again, with all the data and the admin interface for about 10 minutes and then it went again (same symptoms). Again I pulled the plug and left it to it's own devices and went out. When I can in I could access the admin page but no share and 3 lights for the drives were orange and the page said RAID problems were detected and I should click a button that was greyed out. The only thing showing was change the RAID array button, but obviously I didn't want this. So I did a restart of the system and it had restarted with the drives all showing green lights, but the function LED is doing 1 long and 3 short flashes, which I read from a blog as formatting the RAID array, is this true the disk activity lights don't appear to be doing much? I have no access the the admin interface although the unit responds to a ping and can't tell what's going on. How long could this format take and will everything be lost?

Pulled the power again and restarted and I can now get into the web interface and access the data so I am taking a backup of the most recent stuff and I now can tick the box for drive 4 and re-build the array so tomorrow after the backup is finished I will be doing this.

I am glad to hear that your issue, for now, has been resolved. Please let me know if you need any assistance restructuring the RAID array.
