Hello guys, we bought a 2TB LS CHL a couple of years back. At first it was working fine but it we eventually encountered problems with it and decided to give up all together.

Now I tried to install it in my Mac, however I encounter an error that it can't be detected in the network during the final step of the installation process. I also tried starting in Windows 7 (via Bootcamp) but the same problem is encountered (I turned off Firewall).

There's something funny about the Function or the Link LED though (the one at the bottom), it's pressed and I can't get it to the "unpressed" position and there's no lights coming from it at all. I think that's the problem cuz one of the installation steps requires the function/link LED to be either blinking or turned on.

Any ideas on how to fix this? We don't want 2TB of storage to go to waste.
