i would be sugesting the firmware roll back as the fix.  i wont be installing new firmware on my linkstation again !

just spoke with buffalo Aus and told them that 1.6 was cake and thy should remove it from the web.  the guy said he would call Japan and inform them  and he also suggested that 1.61 may come out ..but didnt know when

I think a 1.61 version didn't solve the problem of DLNA 'cause if the trouble are in the new Twonky server

after many tries, i read in post, where they say force the network ip in linkstation web setting, it can works.

after forcing my linkstation network IP, torrent seems to work again for now.

go to web settings, login, then choose Network --> Settings

enter the fixed ip and DNS, i put opendns (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220)

Re-initialize the bittorent again, torrent seems to download again!

will try again tomorrow and update again.

For me, the issue was been a halving of speed of access since 1.6.

I have just had to downgrade to 1.58 as it has become unusable on the network.

Now everything is back to normal again.

Roll on 1.7!

he setting of network IP does not work!

the torrent is still not downloading and showing the same error

[15:21:58] JS error: [778] TypeError: lang is null
[15:21:56] Request failure #1 (will retry in 2 seconds): action=getsettings&list=1
[15:21:56] Request failure #1 (will retry in 2 seconds): action=getversion
[15:21:56] Request failure #1 (will retry in 2 seconds): action=getxferhist

this is just frustrating!

yes, we are working on it, customers need to let us know if they are using magnet links, private trackers, or regular torrents when reporting issues.

any news on the DLNA problem on some device like SONY BRAVIA TV?

I too have upgraded to 1.60 and I'm problems with my Sony TV not finding the avi files.

Buffalo Linkstation

Sony TV: KDL 26EX320

Firmware: 1.60

Twonkey: 6.0.34-dev

andrew_payne

turning off DHCP, and adding open DNS (208.67.222.222) got both magnet links and improved my speed (had an non magnet torrent downloading before)  twice the speed it was before,

1TB linkstation, CHL v2, firmware 1.57

welcome in the club

solution: back to 1.57 Firmware (link in page 5)

At the moment I have a PS3 also connected to the TV, so losing the media server on the TV doesn't cause too much of a problem.

Having said that, it would be nice to watch the TV without the noise and heat the PS3 (fat model) produces.

I don't fancy rolling back the firmware so I'll wait for 1.61 and hope they have a fix for it.

I'm pretty impressed with this buffalo linkstation NAS so far.

I face this problem  : [20:08:21] JS error: [778] Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '262' of null

How to solve it?

I'm using the 1.60 firm ware.
