Whats the new firmware (1.06) actually do does anyone know?

Has it updated any features (such as being able to add and host torrents - currently says 'need permission' etc and can't move anything into the torrents part)

Let me check into that. The recent updates for a few of the other Linkstations have been to fix DLNA media server problems, so I'd imagine it's the same for the LS-CHL.

For me thisupdate has broken DNLA compatibility with PS3. No other improvements :(

What type of files and what is the error? What is your setup?

Paul

If you have issues please upload some of the files to ftp://209.252.83.162/buffalo/upload

please leave a text file with a link to this post.

Thanks

Eh??

Someone at Buffalo must know what the firmware actually improves/fixes/updates

If it has been released due to issues raised on this forum it would be interesting to know what that is as at the moment i got no idea

Not sure what has changed but my PS3 still works quite happily with 1.06

Since upgrading to 1.06, the backup to my Buffalo USB drive has managed to lose performance. Since Monday 1am it has managed to copy across the USB around 78GB, of the 560GB total data. Might not be finished in time to kick off the backup again next Monday at 1am.

wuffles, first try resetting the device to defaults from the web interface. If that doesn't help, can you try forcing the firmware back to the previous version to see if the 1.06 firmware is indeed causing the problem?
