WD30EFRX (WD Caviar Red 3 TB) and LS-CHL v1: Failed to formatting (acp_state_failure)

Hi. I've got a Linkstation Live LS-CHLv1. Since 2008, I already updated the disk several times (from the original WD CaviarBlue 500 GB to a CaviarGreen 1.0 TB, then a Samsung HD154UI 1.5 TB).

 

Now I'm trying a new disk update to a WD Caviar RED WD30EFRX 3.0 TB.

 

Like other times, I've done the TFTP Boot procedure successful, but this time it can't complete the force firmware update procedure. I launch the lsupdater.exe in debug mode, but when I press the "update" button I get the "Failed to formatting (acp_state_failure)" message.

 

Is there any compatibility issue for a 3 TB disk in the LS-CHLv1?

 

What can I try?

The v1 cannot use an internal HDD greater than 2TB due to the advanced formatting (2k sector size) of those HDDs.
