I'm having trouble connecting to older Linkstation via XP.  I've had it running for a couple years at least but won't connect anymore.  I'm not a networking expert so am not sure how to proceed.  I've tried pinging the box with the firewall shutdown, but all packets were lost.  Any other suggestions?

I would reboot the unit, at the same time I would hold in the reset button this will put the unit into an EM mode.  Also try running the NAS utility that came with.  This utility can also be downloaded at BuffaloTech.com.  See what IP address it has as well as the firmware version number.
