Trying to set up a new LS-WXL...  CD Rom install not straight forward, but from downloads I now have it connected and visible on the network.  NASNav2 see the LS-WXL and with a right-click it invokes Firefox.  The login page requests User Name and Password, but this keeps dropping out, so I cannot get past it to do any set-up..  This is the point where I need help, please, to continue.

I have done an EM reset unsuccessfully) but note the instructions describe flashing Power LED, whereas I had flashing Function LED, for a significant time before flashing Power, so released Function button then (both Blue); also Power is now solid blue, not green as stated?

Did you set the password with the NASNAVI?  Also how long was your password?  Did it have any special characters?  If the reset procedure isn't working properly you can try the force firmware update with the option checked to delete user configuration data.

No - I have not set any password yet!

Since this is a brand new product and since install from CD Rom did not work I am mightily inclined to return as unsuitable for some one with my quite small computer skills - especially after seeing your suggestion: way beyond what I am prepared to do, unfortunately.  Nevertheless for thanks for responding so quickly!

BUT if any simple ideas are out there I am prepared to try before taking the annoying action of returning it, since I really wanted a mirroring NAS.
