Linkstation LS CHCL 1.21 firmware is only for the second hardware revision of this unit

How is it possible to know which hardware revisions a unit has. I just bought my second linkstation to get webacces 3.0. and once agaon i cant get it ? Unreal! I even spoke with your hotline. They confirmed that i could buy any ls-chcl to have webaccess 3.0.Wrong information. Bad service. What is ur solution for me?

 

Right now i am very angry at your way of informing customers.

This is very normal. Just like many linksys and netgear routers, they make hard revisions on their products.

It is upto the resellers if you get v1 or v2.

All drive manufacturered for the past few months are v2.

 

Your retailer is obviously holding old stock.

2. there is no information at all on the homepage about this very important fact
3. how in hell they dont change the name. This is a new product.
4. This is fishing in the dark. will i buy a second version or a first.
5. Even google cant help you with this.

Again its down to the retailer. Call them instead of bitching and moaning here and insist on a replacement V2 or im sure one of the mod's/admins could arrange to RMA the device as a guesture of good will and replace it with a V2.

 

That is of course if your based in the states.
