Hello,
I have a old Terastation HD-H1.0TGL_R5 which has 250GB x4 hard drive and configured with Raid5.

I noticed that the free space has only 400MB left and tried to delete the files but it was no response.

Still no luck after few hours self-diagnostic, so I had power-off and bring it back on again. And now the 4 Disk LEDs are OFF. Refer to the user manual, it means that the corresponding hard drives are not detected.

This Terastation contects very important data and the backup is dated. What procedure I can do to recover it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,
Burgman

There is an INIT button On the back on the unit above the serial port. You'll want to make sure that the power is completely off, then hold down that button, and turn the unit ON.

This should boot the Terastation into its recovery mode. At this point you'll want to run the NasNavigator software to see whether or not the unit will show up on the network. If it does, go to the Downloads section of our website and download the latest firmware version.

However, if there is still no network activity, or if the unit seems to react the same way, try removing a single drive from the enclosure, and then turning it on. The instructions for removing the hard drives can be found in the manual pdf on the Terastation I's download page.
