Hello all, I have a Linkstation Pro LS-XH2.0TL (Firmware 1.24) and want to use the MediaServer feature with the WMP 12 which comes with Windows 7 I set up the server and waited a day for the initial indexing of my MP3 files. If I try to open the Twonky Library in WMP (it shows up as "LinkStation:TwonkyMedia under Other libraries) it does not show ANY album/artist information but gives me the message "couldn't connect to the remote library". If I try a real DLNA software client like XBMC for windows it does find the TwonkyMedia server AND the library and does play files. If I use the DLNA streaming client "MPlayer Lite" app on my iPhone, it does also recognize the server and the library. So, why the hell can't the Windows Media Player 12 not connect to the TwonkyMedia server on the LinksStaion????

I've had the same but different problem. It seems WMP and the Linkstations dont play well together. Have you tried just to map a network drive to your LS and just add the media to WMP using the "watch this folder" method?

Hi,

yes, that's what I did now, but unfortunately as I switched the LinkStation to Auto mode to wake up only when my laptop runs, the network drive ist not yet available after login and WMP restarts to scan the folder....

Nevertheless, I will stil use the network drive.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
