Connection terastation pro

i have a intel gigabit network card and i am only able to get a 11Megabyts per second connection,i really don't know how to get a faster connection on the terastation screen,i get connected to 1000Mbps is that an actual speed i can connect,i have a static IP to the terastaion and disabled the dchp as one of the forums said but its not able to connect faster,on my local area connection i get Speed:1.0 Gbps.The terastation is connected directly to my computer no router or switch.

A couple basic questions for you, do you have the most recent drivers for your Intel based 1000 card?  another question is have you tried to set the frame size on the Terastation to a larger size that is compatable with your NIC in this case since you are not using routers/switches.  Another minor factor to take into consideration is the size of the files, a series of small files will typically transfer faster than a few large files.  Is thereany fragmentation on the disk you are trying to transfer from?  These are just basic questions to add to basic troubleshooting.

i HAVE THE LATEST DRIVES ON MY NETWORK CARD.

THE TERASTATION SETTINGS ARE JUMBO FRAME 7,418.

tHERES NO FRAGMENTATION ON THE HARD DRIVE AND IT WILL MOVE A 50MB FILE AT THE SAME SPEED AS A 1GB.

ANYTHING ELSE I CAN TELL YOU TO HELP ME RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM PLEASE ASK.
